UPDATE: Selleck had surgery just in the nick of time as a hold was already forming in his abdomen. Thank you to everyone that helped make this happen. He is home and recovering.
Selleck was found in our back yard on a 100-degree summer day in 2024. He was two weeks old. He’s eyes weren’t opened yet and his senses weren’t developed yet. I bottle fed Selleck and burped him around the clock while he lay on my heart. From there he grew leaps and bounds. Selleck later developed umbilical hernia. Selleck has a large knot (it grew fast) on the outside of his belly button. We were planning on getting him surgery to repair it then just yesterday it busted. We rushed him to the vet, and we were told he needs surgery now before his intestines start coming out. If this happens infection will set in and he’ll die. These are the words from our vet. To this day Selleck thinks I’m mama because I was the first one he saw when he was able to open his eyes. He is my heart and my heart is breaking because I can’t lose him like this. For the love he shows his mama I owe him more. Thank you for reading and any help would be greatly appreciated.
