Strawberry was staying with a former tenant that lives downstairs from me. She was staying with her owner’s cousin with a very aggressive dog that constantly would attack her. After witnessing her health decline and witnessing multiple dog fights in front of my apartment, it broke my heart. It’s very traumatic watching two dogs fight especially when I tried pulling them apart. The last fight that she had was very bad. She almost lost an eye. I nursed her back to health from all the scars and bites she had and offered to keep Strawberry until her owner decided to come back and get her. I took her to the vet because she was extremely skinny, had fleas and worms and they stated that she never had her shots. After having her for 7 months the owner came to get her one day, while I was at work. Not being able to say goodbye was so heartbreaking. I was so depressed and cried for days and nights. Didn’t know I could love a dog so much, but honestly, I was in a very dark place in my life, and I believe she came in my life just in time. After two weeks the owner brought her back and said that his new landlord stated, “either they get out or get rid of strawberry”. I took Strawberry to be mine permanently. So, 2 1/2 years later we are here. Strawberry had a very rough life before becoming my dog. She wasn’t taken care of, so I believe this is why this tumor came. Any help is much appreciated.
