Thank you to all that donated to help Berry. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Berry has crossed the rainbow bride. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
Berry is an adorable 8-year-old fluffy Yorkie-Poodle who has been a loving member of our family since he was 12 weeks old. Most days, I don’t think Berry realizes he is actually a dog because he
goes practically everywhere my daughter and I go. Whether she’s taking him on bike rides or hiking excursions or I am taking him out for a quick pick-me-up doggy treat at Starbucks or to our
favorite pet supply store, Berry is definitely one of us. He loves to play tug of war and fetch, although he never willingly relinquishes the toy after he’s fetched it…which turns into a game of tug of war. Berry is a furry little black ball of energy, despite having a very large cancerous tumor on his left hind leg. His oncologist recently diagnosed him with sarcoma cancer, and because of the nature of the tumor it cannot be removed without amputating his entire hind leg. Thankfully, his doctor assures us that he will rebound from the amputation and still be able to live a full active life. To prevent the cancer from spreading to other vital areas, we need to proceed quickly with the surgery before amputation is no longer a viable option. Without this surgery, Berry will have to euthanized. Any amount is appreciated.
