I bought Ava from a puppy mill when she was 5 weeks old. I took her so early because it was freezing in the barn where she was being kept. They had also started feeding her regular dog food at 5 weeks old. I noticed her nose running and she was having trouble breathing through her nose, so I took her to the vet immediately. She had a contagious virus that she gave to my other dog Adam. I had them both treated for the virus, and she started drinking milk made for puppies. I noticed that she was always stretching her neck backwards, so I took her to the vet and the x-ray showed a collapsed trachea which is abnormal for young dogs. She coughs a lot and is taking medication to help with that until she can get surgery. This surgery is mandatory, or she could die and I’m mentally not ready for that. My dogs are my emotionally support and my family. I am trying to raise the funds for surgery and any help is appreciated.
