Delilah

Delilah was diagnosed with lymphoma in December of 2020. Her lymph nodes started to swell and we started on this horrible cancer journey. Throughout this whole thing, I am super lucky that the swollen nodes have really been her only symptom and she has handled the chemo treatments very well. She has a wonderful life with her family and has been a Newf Ambassador, helping to promote the breed since she was 8 weeks old! She was the “brown bonus” pup that we did not plan on getting until she was still left unspoken for after we got her sister. Now, I just can’t imagine my life without her here. We started chemo in December and did 5 chemo treatments ending in March 2021. She went into remission for 7 weeks but then her lymph nodes started to swell again. We began a new Chemo protocol in May that she did not respond to and have now started Tanovea, a third protocol. She will need 4 more treatments also with xrays and tests done on 2 of the 4 visits. The bigger the dog the more everything seems to cost and coming in at 120 lbs for the Tanovea treatment it is becoming very expensive. Up until this point I have been able to cover all expenses myself with the exception of a $600.00 Donation from a local charity for a single treatment back in January. As I have 4 other dogs, 2 also with medical issues, I would to ask for some help with paying for part of Delilah’s remaining treatments. Delilah is an amazing dog, she will turn just 4 in July and deserves a chance at fighting this longer. It is still possible for her to achieve remission and I am doing everything I possibly can to give her that chance.
