My nine month old mastiff, Bear, recently got a X-ray to diagnose a limping problem and atrophy of his right hip. The X-ray diagnoses osteonecrosis of the right femur in the ball of it, he also has a birth defect of the socket. He is not a candidate for a hip replacement but is able to have a surgery where they remove the ball of the femur. He will be able to run, and for the first time feel what it’s like to be a puppy. I have been able to raise some of the funds but need help to make sure he has a good quality of life.
